Short bio/Community Involvement 
Dr. Wen specializes in post-acute and long-term care and serves as a consultant for AlohaCare in the Division of Long-Term Services and Supports. A dedicated advocate for improving geriatric and dementia care, Dr. Wen is committed to supporting patients, caregivers, and providers in helping older adults age with dignity and quality of life.

As Principal Investigator of the HRSA-funded Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP), she leads a broad network of academic, clinical, and community partnerships to advance interprofessional education and strengthen the healthcare workforce. Her work promotes age-friendly health systems and expands access to high-quality geriatric care across Hawaiʻi and the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands.
