Advancing Workforce, Care, and Community Across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific
PI-GWEP’s Programs & Initiatives bring together clinical training, workforce development, telehealth innovation, age-friendly health system transformation, and community-based education to strengthen the future of geriatrics care across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. Through partnerships with healthcare systems, academic institutions, Federally Qualified Health Centers, long-term care providers, and community organizations, these initiatives create meaningful pathways for learning, collaboration, and service. From rural clinical placements and interdisciplinary telehealth training to caregiver education and Age-Friendly Health Systems implementation, PI-GWEP’s work connects providers, trainees, and communities in building a more responsive, culturally grounded system of care for older adults.
