Preparing the Future Workforce
PI-GWEP builds the geriatrics workforce through clinical placements, workforce pathways, curriculum development, and interprofessional learning opportunities. Working with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, community colleges, and community partners across Hawaiʻi, these initiatives prepare learners to deliver age-friendly, person-centered care in diverse healthcare and community settings.
Clinical Rotations & Training Sites
Hands-on training experiences across community health centers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, hospice programs, and community-based organizations. Includes TTOUR sites, fellowship rotations, medical student placements, and social work practicum experiences.
